Geocoinfest Europe 2026 in Kutná Hora: Meet Us in the City of Silver and Coins

Geocaching enthusiasts, geocoin collectors and trackable fans have something special to look forward to. Geocoinfest Europe 2026 will take place in Kutná Hora from 22 to 25 October 2026, bringing together geocachers, collectors and everyone fascinated by the world of travelling coins.

The main Mega-Event will be held on Saturday, 24 October 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. And geo.guru will be there too. You will find us at our sales stand, and we are very excited to meet many of you in person again.

Back to the Roots of Coin Minting

Geocoinfest Europe could hardly have found a more fitting location. The main theme for 2026 is “Back to the Roots of Coin Minting”, and Kutná Hora was one of the most important towns in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia.

Silver was mined extensively in the surrounding area, while the famous Prague groschen was minted at the Italian Court, the former royal mint. The wealth of the Kutná Hora mines influenced the economy of a large part of medieval Europe and turned the town into the second treasury of the Kingdom of Bohemia.

Today, Kutná Hora’s historic centre, together with the Church of St Barbara and the Cathedral of Our Lady at Sedlec, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A visit to Geocoinfest is therefore a perfect opportunity to explore one of the most fascinating historic towns in Czechia.

What Can You Expect at the Main Mega-Event?

One of the main attractions will be an exhibition of geocoins and other trackable items from around the world. The collection is also expected to include several important pieces that have played a part in the history of geocaching.

You can also look forward to:

• sales stands offering geocoins and geocaching equipment,

• themed Adventure Lab caches,

• a CWG trading zone,

• competitions,

• activities for both children and adults,

• tours of historic sites,

• the Church of St Barbara, the Sedlec Ossuary, the former royal mint, a historic silver mine and much more.

The main Saturday programme will take place inside a congress hall, so unpredictable October weather will not spoil the geocaching plans. Admission to the venue will be subject to a symbolic entrance fee.

Four Days of Geocaching in Kutná Hora

Geocoinfest will be much more than a one-day gathering. The organisers are preparing a programme running from Thursday through Sunday:

Saturday, 24 October

• 10:00–17:00: Geocoinfest Europe 2026

• 17:00–18:00: Kramářská mincovna

Sunday, 25 October

• 9:30–11:30: CITO kolem Kaňku

• 12:00–13:00: Ultima Hora, GCF EU 2026!
