Summer Geotrip Tip: Join us in Esztergom for the Mega-Event GeoEsztergom 2026! 🗺️🐸
Hello geocachers!
Summer is the right time to explore new places, collect smiley faces on the map, and meet equally "afflicted" people who also look for plastic boxes hidden in the bushes. If you are thinking about where to go for your next adventure, we have a great tip just across the border.
From July 10 to 12, 2026, the Mega-Event GeoEsztergom 2026 (GCBH6XJ) will take place in the beautiful, historical city of Esztergom.
The main program kicks off on Saturday, July 11 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The organizers promise a magical adventure in a city steeped in history. What can we expect?
- Lots of new caches and the very first LAB trail in Hungary.
- A mini challenge trail for those who like challenges.
- Discounted entries to the stunning Esztergom Basilica and the Castle Museum.
- A Friday "Welcome event" right on the banks of the Danube and a Sunday morning CITO to clean up nature after ourselves.
And you know what the best part is? We will be there too! 😎
If your last pen runs out during the event, your geodog misplaces your favorite Travel Bug, or you simply get that familiar irresistible urge to treat yourself to a new geocoin, do not despair. We will set up our geo.guru sales stand right on the spot.
